The trek leads to Viet Hai Village, from where you can take a scenic boat ride back. This tour offers an exciting adventure starting from Cat Ba Town, and it's a must-try experience for nature lovers.

 

Itinerary

8:00-8:20: Our bus and tour guide will pick you up from your hotel in Cat Ba Town and begin the journey to Cat Ba National Park.
9:00: Upon arrival at the park, our guide will assist with entrance tickets and the hike will begin. The hike to Frog Pond takes around 2.5 hours, with opportunities for bird watching and admiring the lush, primary forest.
11:30: Arrive at Frog Pond, the largest freshwater lake on Cat Ba Island, surrounded by unique Va Nuoc trees, which can only be found here. The pond is part of a picturesque area with over 400 islands and 130 small golden sand beaches, offering a stunning natural scene as part of the trek to Viet Hai Village.
12:00: After a 30-minute break at Frog Pond, we’ll continue hiking to Viet Hai Village (about 4 km). This section of the trek is easier, with a mostly downhill and flat path.
13:00: Arrive at Viet Hai Village, where you’ll meet the friendly locals who live inside the National Park. Enjoy a home-cooked lunch at a local house, and afterward, explore the village by cycling. You can also try a unique fish massage in the cool stream or fish pond.
14:00: Start a 5 km cycling journey from Viet Hai Village to Viet Hai Harbor, one of the most beautiful routes for biking.
15:00: The boat will stop at a floating house, giving you a chance to see local life on the waters of Lan Ha Bay. Hop on a kayak to explore the bay, one of the most stunning in the world.
16:30: Return to Cat Ba Town by boat, stopping to visit Cai Beo Floating Village, the oldest floating village in Vietnam, with hundreds of houses on the water.
17:00: Arrive at Ben Beo Harbor, then transfer back to your hotel in Cat Ba Town. Trip ends.
