Discover the beauty and rich history of Vietnam’s countryside on this unforgettable adventure from Hanoi. Explore the ancient capital of Hoa Lu and visit the famed Dinh King Temple. Hop aboard a sampan boat to take in the stunning natural landscapes of Trang An, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, or Tam Coc, often called "Ha Long Bay on land" for its breathtaking scenery. Finish with a hike to Mua Cave for panoramic views of Ninh Binh city.

 

Itinerary

07:30 – 08:00: Our guide will meet you at your hotel/stay, and we’ll start a scenic 110km drive through the lush countryside. We’ll take a short break along the way.

Option 1:
10:30: Arrive at the Bai Dinh Complex, the largest pagoda in Vietnam and Southeast Asia, set at the foothills of Dinh Mountain. Enjoy breathtaking views of the river valley and limestone karsts surrounding the area. Highlights include:

  • 500 stone statues of La Han (Arhats)

  • Two massive bronze bells, weighing 27 tons and 36 tons

  • The impressive Quan Yin statue with thousands of arms and eyes, and the Gautama Buddha statue.

 

Option 2:
10:30: Visit the Hoa Lu Ancient Citadel, home to the Dinh King Temple, dating back to the 17th century.

12:00: Enjoy a delicious lunch featuring local cuisine at our restaurant.

13:00: Take an adventurous cycling tour to Bich Dong and Bird Valley in Thung Nham, with spectacular views of mountains and green rice fields. Afterward, embark on an amazing boat trip through the Fairy Water Cave and sail to the other side of the island for bird watching. Spot a variety of species, including storks, pelicans, and herons.

16:30: Return to the bus and head back to Hanoi.

18:30 – 19:00: Drop-off at your hotel/stay. Trip ends.
