ITINERARY

Night 1: Hanoi - Ha Giang city

  • 7:00pm - 7:30pm The shuttle bus picks up from your hotel/hostel in Hanoi Old Quarter

  • 9:00pm The sleeper bus leaves Hanoi. Overnight on the bus.

 

Day 1: Ha Giang city - Quan Ba - Yen Minh - Dong Van Town (B/L/D)

  • 4:00am Arrival in Ha Giang city. Check in at the hostel and rest for a few hours

  • 8:00am Have breakfast at the hostel in Ha Giang city

  • 8:30am After breakfast, meet up with the guide and begin the journey through the Ha Giang loop, visiting key attractions:

    • Bac Sum pass: Enjoy the stunning views of the surrounding landscapes as you travel through this pass

    • Quan Ba Heaven gate: Experience the panoramic view of Tam Son Town and the Quan Ba Twin Mountains

    • Quan Ba Twin mountains: Visit these unique, naturally-formed hills

    • Can Ty pass: Another beautiful pass offering breathtaking views of terraced fields and mountains

  • 12:00pm Have lunch in Yen Minh town, then continue our journey through

    • Tham Ma pass: Known for its winding roads and picturesque scenery

    • The Hmong King’s Palace: Explore this historical palace and learn about the history and culture of the Hmong people

  • 4:00pm Arrive in Dong Van town. Check in hotel and take a rest

  • 7:00pm Have dinner in Dong Van Town, free walking around Dong Van ancient town

  • Overnight in Dong Van

Day 2: Dong Van Town - Ma Pi Leng pass - Meo Vac - Du Gia village (B/L/D)

  • 8:00am: Have breakfast in town (on the weekend visit the Dong Van Sunday market)

    • Ma Pi Leng pass (one of the four most beautiful passes in Vietnam): Journey through Ma Pi Leng Pass, one of Vietnam's most stunning mountain passes. Marvel at the dramatic cliffs and deep valleys, with breathtaking views that make this a must-see destination.

    • Take a boat trip on the Nho Que river: Enjoy a serene boat trip on the Nho Que River. Allows you to take in the scenic beauty of the surrounding limestone karsts and lush greenery.

  • Have lunch in Meo Vac or Mau Due village

  • After lunch, get on the bike again and head to Du Gia village

    • Sa Li pass: Ride through Sa Li Pass, known for its winding roads and picturesque landscapes. This route offers more stunning views and is perfect for capturing memorable photos.

    • Lung Ho Viewpoint: Admire the expansive vistas of the surrounding mountains and valleys. This is another excellent spot for photography and to appreciate the natural beauty of the region.

  • Check in homestay in Du Gia village

  • 7:00pm - 7:30pm: Have dinner in the homestay

  • Overnight in Du Gia

Day 3: Du Gia village - Duong Thuong - Lung Tam village - Nam Dam (B/L/D)

  • 8:00am: Have breakfast in the homestay with mountain views

    • Du Gia waterfall: Visit the serene Du Gia Waterfall, where you can enjoy the natural beauty and perhaps take a refreshing dip in the cool waters.

    • Duong Thuong viewpoint: Head to Duong Thuong Viewpoint for panoramic views of the surrounding landscapes

    • Lung Tam village (the Hemp weaving village): Continue to Lung Tam Village, known for its traditional hemp weaving. Explore the village, meet the local artisans, and learn about the intricate process of creating beautiful hemp textiles.

  • Have lunch in Thai An or Ba Tien (Quan Ba)

  • 5:00pm: Check in the homestay in Nam Dam Village. Experience cycling to explore Nam Dam village, where you'll find picturesque roads and terraced rice fields belonging to the H'Mong people.

  • 7:00pm: Have dinner in the homestay

  • Overnight in Nam Dam

Day 4: Nam Dam - Lung Khuy - Ha Giang (B/L/-)

  • 8:00am: Have breakfast in the homestay

    • Visit Lung Khuy Cave (the best cave in Ha Giang loop): Depart for Lung Khuy Cave, renowned as the best cave in the Ha Giang loop. Explore the cave's stunning stalactites and stalagmites, and marvel at the natural beauty hidden within its depths.

  • Have lunch in Thai An or Ba Tien (Quan Ba)

  • 4:00pm: Finish the motorbike tour

Night 5: Take the bus to Hanoi from the hostel in Ha Giang city at 7:00pm and arrive back to Hanoi at 2:30am (Regular sleeper bus) or at 9:00pm and arrive back to Hanoi at 4:00am (VIP sleeper bus). Drop off at the drop off location in Hanoi Old Quarter - No. 1 Cho Gao Street, Hoan Kiem, Hanoi.

Children under 10 years old: ride Easy Rider at the same price as an adult, sitting in the back of the car with parents charged 50% of the tour price. From 11 years old and up, the price is the same as an adult.​

  • Is a motorbike international license required for this tour?

Following Vietnamese rules, an international driving permit (IDP) to drive in Vietnam is necessary

If you don't have IDP, we also worked with the local police in Ha Giang, but sometimes the police are very strict and the fine might be around 1.500.000vnd. Please be aware that there is a risk of getting fined by the police

  • Where can I leave my big backpack/suicase?

If you don't have accommodation in Hanoi, I recommend you go directly to the bus office. You also can check in early and leave your backpack/suitcase there. Your large suitcases or non-essential items can be stored at a hostel in Ha Giang City. I suggest bringing a small bag with essential items to carry on the scooter to ensure your comfort and safety.

  • What is the level of physical activity required for this tour?

The tour involves being on motorbike for long hours, so a moderate level of physical fitness is required. However, the tour is designed to be accessible for most people as we will stop along the roads to get some rest and meals.

  • What should I pack for the tour?

We recommend packing comfortable and lightweight clothing suitable for warm weather, swimsuite, sturdy footwear, sunscreen, insect repellent, and a hat or sunglasses. We also recommend bringing a camera to capture the stunning landscapes of Ha Giang.
